ADOPT-A-TRAIL PROGRAM
We at Shiny Hunters are immensely proud to announce an initiative that formalizes our deep-seated commitment to giving back to the community that has supported us. While our passion for the game unites us, we recognize that being a strong community means contributing positively to the real-world spaces we share. This belief is not just a philosophy; it’s an action that reflects our gratitude for the camaraderie, support, and friendship we've found among fellow trainers. We believe that by investing our time and energy into the health and beauty of our local environment, we can help create a more enjoyable and vibrant space for everyone—both for those hunting shinies and those simply enjoying the outdoors.

This desire to make a tangible, local difference has led us to officially adopt a mile of the White River Greenway, encompassing the area up to and through the beautiful Riverwalk Depot Park. This commitment, made through the local Adopt-a-Trail program, means that our group will be regularly volunteering to pick up litter, maintain the landscape, and ensure this popular stretch of trail remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all visitors. We see this as an opportunity to move our collective enthusiasm from the digital world to the physical one, demonstrating that the community spirit we share in-game translates directly into responsible stewardship of our shared public spaces.

The adoption of the Riverwalk Depot Park section of the Greenway is a long-term pledge and a wonderful way for us to show our appreciation. It's more than just a cleanup effort; it's a way for Shiny Hunters to be visible, positive stewards in the very parks and trails where we often meet and play. We encourage all members to join us during our scheduled clean-up events! This is a chance to earn your "good citizen badge," enjoy the fresh air, and strengthen the bonds of our community while making a real impact on our local environment.
